Every year the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) campaign begins on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (25 November) and concludes on Human Rights Day (10 December).
Through the ACCESS 2 program, Australia partners with five organisations to deliver quality services for GBV survivors. In Siem Reap, Australia collaborates with Legal Aid Cambodia to offer free legal support to those in need.
Meet Ms. Koy Kithya, a dedicated lawyer advocating for survivors of GBV. She provides legal assistance throughout court proceedings, ensuring survivors receive the support they need to seek justice. Ms. Kithya also collaborates with local authorities to strengthen community responses to GBV.
Her work has transformed the lives of over 300 survivors in the province, helping them rebuild with dignity and hope.
